Bohemia Historical Society
Your History is Bohemia’s History
The Bohemia Historical Society is dedicated to preserving the narrative of our community — but some of the most important stories aren’t found in textbooks. They’re found in family photo albums, attic trunks, and kitchen table conversations.
Whether your family has been here since the cigar-making days of the 19th century, or you arrived during the suburban boom of the 1960s and 70s, your experiences help define who we are. We’re capturing the “living history” of our hamlet: local businesses that have come and gone, school days, the Blizzard of ’78, or simply what it was like growing up in Bohemia.

Stories passed down about the early Czech settlers, founding families, or local characters.
🏠 Everyday Life
Block parties, parades, school plays, or scout troops from decades past.
